Even just in the either or of "I'm just saying", which might be related to a silver lining, which only has three sides. There is the light, the dark and the actual cloud that matters. Not to be making light of recent tragedies, but that actually is the point. That nuclear energy is not on the same plane as air or traffic accidents. But back to the original point, that Third Times a Charm regards Toning Down the* Lines.

[Update: my original assessment before the air strikes began was that the President was following the letter of the law if not the spirit. I won't get into the spirit of the Patriot Act but is part of the law as well as the 1973 War Powers Act and the constitution. My point being that it is one thing to debate an action by the president, it is another to make a law determining or undermining his powers. Any reassessment will have to take into account the current politics as well as earlier circumstances not to mentiuon the politics then. It is that frame in which I am optimistic that change matters as well as who is in charge.]

I was going to use the word with the intent to replace "Sabbatical" and figure out if was maybe be going to "third times a charm"** but maybe it is the "exception that proves the rule". Seldom do I actually fully read a piece before keying a few strokes and I may hit the rough but never take Mulligans.* It may be a none too subtle lie, but the irony is in the wedge, that John Fund hit. True, Southern Democrats played their part in the 1964 Civil Rights Bill filibuster, and so are they playing it now. But...things change.

* Bush is the prime example, and a leader in this regard. The reality is that we can each feel we can make it alone, and disregard or force a perspective.

Justice may be the best example of why we must continue to look back as we move forward, as well as be held accountable for each, and may be why there is so much "hard work".

Maybe it is time to start from scratch
or at least put the "hard work" into a
model for progress.

I believe (Jiu Jitsu in Afghanistan) does fit into his "despise"(d) "left-right boxes"(metaphor) more than the writer understands. And also less into the martial arts metaphor than he also understands. To me, there is difficulty equating(or rather comparing) war with diplomacy and yet there is also an intelligence factor that differs. To mix boxes (or analogies might be better), you have Rumsfeldian intelligence and then there is what is really out there * . War obviously relies more on secrecy, while diplomacy relies more on openness, however you will still have those that play a war game, whether in or out of the box or whether they are with us or against us.

This is more than self-fulfilling loopiness.]

Actually, I was reflecting more on my writing style or flow(hyperbole/hyperbola). Suffice to say, I was curious about the convenience of some of my searches when I would be in need of embedding some meaning. In particular, at some point I searched my blogspot for "blue" and was amazed to find only five prior uses, which is not correct**. (See Bold Bubble above) But there is a point that our own meaning is involved in our style which I will not reconstruct. While somewhere in this loopiness there is an AL GORE rythm, here is one segment unembedded from other work:

At the risk of being obvious, I would like to comment on David Horsey's "Red & Blue America" (May 19). For the sake of humor, it went overboard in its characterizations of those who voted for George W. Bush or Al Gore. I hope it is a good thing if people realize, like I did, how we can see one side funnier or less overboard than the other.

I hope the humor can be less dividing than the colors pinned on Gore and Bush. It also made me realize that there may be value in using more colors, but somehow without green being a factor in making us see red.

The point is, the administration is promoting offensive behavior and misrepresetation of intelligence before the intelligence has been fully studied, and it is really probably the case that the administration does not have the intelligence (in evidence or thinking) until someone reads it to them the way they want to hear it, and the president might not hear it until it is what someone wants him to hear or they know it is what he wants to hear. But the case is that he is operating on principles and facts that he expects other to support him on, while they do not get it either. BINGO! Maybe I can get to a point. Until he is forced to come clean we will have more water works of trickle down, and I have a hunch the alernative or delay tactic will be that Cheney will be the dam or water fallguy. Boy, don't these metaphors flow like d'Nile.

Wake Up Congress! This is the intelligence the administration has. It is the National Intelligence Estimate. Bush gets the last word. "Estimate". He is the decider and he is not done having the estimate analyzed so he can decide and then it will be an estimate he will decide to act on. END OF STORY, End of His Story.

Third Time's The Charm

Three times lucky? Actually I have not been lucky in finding the origin of the first, but I have been several times knocked off course. Just as I wrote this the news was noting the passing of a local law enforcement officer who had three centers of gravity, friends, family and work, so is that the message? "Every cloud has a silver lining" has also recently infiltrated my blog. That is credited roughly to John Milton and Katty Macane.

Numbers may play a big part in superstitions, but they also may play a big part in meanings. Past, present and future is just one case for threes, though not necessarily in that order, and this is not just to play with words. Of course if superstitions play any part in society, they will play a part in words, and words play a part in meanings, but which comes first? Some of this math and meandering came to my attention in regards to politics. Have you heard of the third way? The Clinton Adminstration was the first occasion I became aware of it in a political form, not that I had done the math in regard to other departments. But basically there are the two ends of the political spectrum and then there is the centrist. But is it the people, the target or the answers that are there? Or is it target, people or answers...who knows? However at this time I intend to apply it to the topic of navigation, or at least The Myth of Triangulation and wonder if a silver lining plays into any of this. While it is plane* to see where three plays into many things, it should suffice to read Robert Reich's article yourself as I have now read it twice. But I have yet to revisit the concept of navigation itself or any application of the tetrahedron to other perspectives of improving on our picture.

Not really meaning third times a charm, but that it ducks the question and begs the future. Calculations cannot be made based on terms of infinity, it should seem. The faux principle of gravity or trickle down or Laffer curve should not be calculable without understanding of the curve if not calculus.

[The reference to the Laffer curve is the assumptions that differ based on which side of the bell curve one is on when changes are made. It would seem that their might be a similar point if not additional principle or missing factor that could make any argument based on "generational accounting" irrelevant.]

I don't recall George W.
